The ideal candidate will be able to purchase all commodities and technical equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, controls, vessels, and piping) for the manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment systems in a timely manner. Copies data and compiles records and reports. Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data. Purchases supplies. Data entry of all purchase orders. Assisting other departments when it is required. Reviews requisitions. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of an order. Contacts vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality. Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues with need purchase items. Reviews bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.

Skill Sets:
Get quotations from vendors for projects & review them; negotiate supplier prices, purchase commodities for projects; expediting to meet due date; approve supplier invoices; manage appropriate purchasing budget; check for missing material in the shop; follow up on partial deliveries; maintaining budget reports; handling nonconformance with Quality department.

Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or applied science required. At least three to five years of prior experience in the purchasing of technical commodities. Working knowledge of SAP. Prior purchasing experience with international vendors is desired. Knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment systems is preferred.
