Principal Responsibilities

Contribute to the procurement and purchasing processes and activities of the company and gain knowledge and experience with contract data abstraction as well as contract negotiation and administration.

Assist the Procurement department to review vendor contracts and organize and summarize the information contained within each vendor contract.

Complete vendor contract abstracts by pulling specific information from each vendor contract and placing it into an organized format.

Work with vendor data files, purchase order and payable files in both Excel and Access formats.

Work with procurement staff on sourcing projects that reduce the cost of goods and services and assist in contract analysis.

Provide analytical support to department.

Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with NCO policies and procedures.

Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.

Make recommendations to implement improved processes.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Must be a junior, senior, or graduate student currently seeking a degree in Business or a related field at an accredited college or university.

Professionalism in communication, personal presentation, punctuality and attendance.

Demonstration of initiative, willingness to develop new and useful skills and enthusiasm in the performance of all tasks required.

Excellent personal computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. Skill in creating Macros and Pivot Tables required.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
