IT strategic consultant – Procurement, Brunswick, IL, USA

General Responsibilities:
A Strategic Consultant provides clients with insight on how to realize the full potential of Oracle’s Procure to Pay functionality to include requisitions, purchasing, accounts payable, items, receiving, invoicing and reconciliation. As well as being the single point of contact to business consumers of IT services, a Strategic Consultant ensures there is linkage of technology projects to business strategy. The Strategic Consultant is the business advocate within IT who works closely with the business to communicate initiatives, gather and document business requirements, formulate courses of action, and track projects to completion. An SC team member maintains a global, enterprise-wide viewpoint, supporting the mission and vision of the organization while acting in the best interest of both the IT department and business department(s). A Strategic Consultant is a talented business champion that engages with customers to build relationships to enable the business through IT. Specific Duties:
. Develop and manage relationships within the Supply Chain functional area. . Leverage skills within the Oracle Procure-to-Pay module to extend the business and meet strategic initiatives. . Assist with the implementation and sustainment of a global Oracle r12 implementation . Drives and support initiatives within the Oracle Procure to Pay suite of modules . Shapes and influences strategic business direction by framing strategic business options and recommending courses of action. . Ensures that potential business solutions that are linked to strategic and financial business drivers. . Conduct in-depth discovery to define need, document courses of action, and conduct business case and process analyses with the Supply Chain functional areas to identify, communicate, and implement solutions that drive value for the company. . Gather and document business requirements. . Serve as project manager for IT based Supply Chain solutions and lead the Initiation, Planning, Execution, Quality Control, and Closeout activities. . Participate in post-implementation review to capture formal business feedback and promote continuous improvement. . May engage other functional areas of the business as necessary

Job Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
. Strong written and verbal communication skills. . Strong experience in Oracle R12 implementations . Three or more years of Oracle Procure to Pay experience in IT including ERP implementations . Energetic self-starter with consulting attitude and sense of ownership . Familiar with business process engineering . Strong collaboration and facilitation skills . Bachelor’s Degree . MBA a plus . Familiarity with Oracle WIP, BOM, and MRP/MPS a plus . Understanding of cost accounting . Project Management experience a plus . Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
