My client, a public service organisation, has an urgent need for a Procurement and Contract Generalist to join the team until September. The post holder needs to be available immediately, passionate about procurement, have a proven track record in making savings and be ready to work as part of a team. Job
Responsibilities: Working across a number of areas of indirect procurement categories, identifying opportunities for driving global best value across the commodity spend and group entities Development and implementation of best practice contract and supplier relationship management processes Providing a source of expertise over a range of spend categories, and continuously seeking to improve purchasing knowledge and cost saving processes Providing advice and expertise to the internal customers and external stakeholders on issues of procurement and contract management Reviewing and updating the procurement contract framework and legal support processes
Job Requirements: Client engagement, team-working and influencing skills with a strong ability to negotiate Consistently able to hit procurement targets and develop long term strategy MCIPS qualification or working towards it Knowledge of OJEU, Public Sector regulations and Contract Law (in relation to commercial contract drafting and editing) This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading public sector organisation and develop the procurement function within the business.
