Lead negotiations, using QIAGEN standard contracts, tools and processes drive implementation of Automated Systems sourcing strategies Develop trusted and collaborative cross-functional stakeholder relationships within global QIAGEN Organization Identify opportunities that focus on cost reduction, efficiencies/quality improvements, risk mitigation Analyze spend history, trends and forecasts. Develop pricing analysis and conduct benchmarks Perform and report on supplier and contract compliance checks for selected suppliers to ensure compliant implementation and use of contracts Exhibit and act with integrity by maintaining compliance with internal policies, standards and tools
Strong negotiation, influencing and change management skills Strong leadership skills combined with a consistent work ethic Strong financial background, with advanced reporting & analysis skills Capable of assimilating complex processes and managing projects across many areas An in-depth understanding of strategic sourcing, purchasing and procurement processes Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, process and price/cost analysis methodology Knowledge of purchasing legal terms and methodologies (e.g. Total cost of ownership) Experience in Lab Automation industry preferred Education: BA/BS required, Minimum of 5 years of relevant sourcing and purchasing experience – particularly in the area of direct materials, instruments or technical commodities
