Procurement Contract Officer, Oregon State University – Corvallis, OR

Procurement & Contract Services invites applications for a Procurement Contract Officer.This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director.

The Procurement Contract Officer will support Procurement and Contract Services (PaCS) as a member of their management team through development, implementation, and ongoing support of University-wide procurement and contract policies and practices. This position uses independent judgment to manage highly complex procurement and contract services through effective communication and guidance provided to internal and external clients. This position has been assigned the delegated authority to commit Procurement and Contract Services to a course of action by approving new contract methodologies and independently approving the Procurement and Contract Services without legal review.

Procurement, Construction Contracting and Contracts has the responsibility to work with University departments to establish procurement contracts, construction contracts, purchase orders and other institutional contracts with a total value in excess of $200 million annually in support of all departments and programs across the institution. The Procurement and Contracts volume represents over $100 million annually. This position is part of the Procurement and Contract Services (PaCS) unit of Business Services.

Business Services is a division within OSU Finance & Administration and is comprised of 7 units: 1) Campus Recycling 2) Motor Pool 3) Procurement and Contract Services 4) Printing & Mailing 5) Risk Management 6) Surplus Property and 7) Real Property.
